WV Energie AG installs its first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
A milestone for the energy transition: WV Energie AG has commissioned Exide Group to install its first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) – at the site of the WV solar park in the Wertachtal region, south of Augsburg.

📦 2x Mega Three Solition containers from Exide Technologies
⚡ Power: 3.44 MW
🔋 Capacity: 6.88 MWh
🔗 Directly connected at the grid connection point of the PV park
Dual purpose:
☀️ Storage of surplus energy from renewable sources
📈 Provision of grid-supporting services (FCR, aFRR)
🚀 Commissioning is planned for end of 2025.
